AndrĂ© Charpak (4 September 1928 â 23 June 2006) was a Polish-born French actor, dialoguist, film director and screenwriter. A brother of the physicist Georges Charpak he was an alumnus of the prestigious LycĂ©e Henri-IV where he earned his BaccalaurĂ©at.
