Driving by Jack Benny Drive in Waukegan the other day, I learned that Minnie heard 17yo Benjamin Kubelsky (pre-stage name) playing violin in a vaudeville act in 1911, and invited him to tour with the Marx Brothers. Parents forbad, but he and Zeppo remained friends.
