Lieutenant-Colonel John Manners Smith (30 August 1864 โ 6 January 1920) was a British Indian Army and Indian Political Service officer who was a recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.
