A lot of where this game really shines is in it's single player mode, The Subspace Emissary, which is praised for it's deep and engaging storytelling, making it a worthwhile entry point in the smash series

Finally, I would like to mention that, although true that this game is very flawed and honestly pretty janky at times, it's still really fun to play, and for newcomers I'd recommend brawl compared to earlier or later entries, due to it's less competitive gameplay, and overall skill you can learn from this entry.
